We`re Having A Weekly FEAST Soon!

I was taken aback by her response. I blinked hard and asked, “Why?”
“Oh Brother Bo, I don’t feel spiritually fed here. The homilies are lifeless. I don’t feel ministered in my soul. My spiritual thirst isn’t quenched. After Mass, I don’t feel inspired.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, but…”
I couldn’t interrupt her. “But Brother Bo, six months ago, my friends invited me to this Born Again church in the Ortigas area and I’ve been so blessed. My life has changed! The preaching really feeds the spirit. And the worship is alive. I go home after the service bringing home God’s message in my heart.”
“I understand. But if you really understood the truth of the Eucharist, you’ll realize it’s the life-giving Body and Blood of Jesus Himself. How can you not be fed?”
“But where will I get fed with Gods’ Word? Don’t get me wrong Brother Bo, I’ll always remain Catholic and I’ll still go to Mass here. But right after Mass, you’ll also see me attending in that Born Again church. Because that’s where my soul is fed with God’s Word.”
“Have you ever attended our Kerygma FEAST?”
“What’s that?” she asked.
“It’s our monthly prayer meeting. Whatever you find in that Born Again church, we have it too. With beautiful worship and dynamic preaching of God’s Word. But there’s Holy Mass too. That’s why 3,000 people attend every first Sunday of the month. People from as far as Tarlac in the North and Cavite in the South travel all the way to Quezon City just to attend the FEAST.
“Wow, that’s great! Okay, count me in. But I have a question…”
“Yes?”
“Why only once a month? What will I do with the other Sundays?”
“Uh… gee….” I was stumped.
Friends, this conversation took place last year.
I now have an answer for this woman.
Starting next year, I want the FEAST to be weekly!—complete with Holy Mass, Worship, and Preaching.
Here are my reasons for making it weekly…

1. I want to draw people who are no longer attending Mass on Sundays.
Why? For some reason, they no longer find God or the Mass relevant in their lives. According to statistics, only 15% of Catholics go to Mass on Sundays. So if there are 8.5 Million Catholics in Metro Manila, that means there are 6.7M Catholics who are no longer go their parishes. These are the people I want to bring to the FEAST.

2. I want to draw the millions of Catholics who now attend Born Again churches because they find their parish Masses dead—while their protestant services life-giving.
Of course I don’t believe the Mass can ever be dead. It’s the center of our faith. But I’m just telling you the facts: millions have left the church. I want to bring some of them back through the weekly FEAST. I want to tell them that the Holy Spirit is alive in the Catholic Church.

3. Ultimately, I want to “franchise” the FEAST to the various parishes all over the Philippines—and around the world.

Through the internet, we’ll be video streaming the Manila FEAST to hundreds of similar gatherings in various parish churches, thus strengthening the parishes by giving their parishioners the option of attending the FEAST in their own local parish.

I have a little problem though. Can you help me find a venue large enough for the weekly FEAST? A place that can accommodate 3,000 people. If you know of an empty property we can lease—somewhere centrally located—we could build an air-conditioned tent over it. Temporarily, we’re willing to move to a mall or building or factory that can accommodate us in a weekly basis. If you have suggestions, call Sol Saura at 7266728 or 7263334 or 7263929.

Yes, I want to nourish more people with God’s Word on a weekly basis.

PS. In the meantime, see you at the FEAST on December 3 at the AFP Theatre, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Choose between 3 sessions: 7:30am, 10:00am, and 3:00pm

PS2. Help me spread God’s Word more through our ministry. Join www.kerygmafamily.com and support God’s work!

  2. Hi,

My friend and I visited this place after last month's the feast because we know its been almost empty.

And truly... its a ghost time... perfect venue for the feast... maybe someone from your team can visit... its near the SM Mall of Asia... lots of parking too and very accessible.

Thank you for making The Feast weekly.

I am married to a born-again Christian. Before we got married, he tried converting me... even if I have been a devout Catholic and knew I wouldn't convert, I didnt know how to defend my faith and why what we do is important.

So I studied. Unfortunately, all the resources are found in books and audio cds from the US... there are no great apologists here... I hope we can have regular talks on this topic... how to defend our faith and where it is in the bible the things that we do... =) I believe this is the way for the love of Catholics for the faith will be reborn.

thanks bo for giving your life to the faith.

  3. Try Defensoris Fidei and the forums. Just shoot away your questions and Jomar will be there to answer. Or some other "forumers"

There is also Ruel de Vera's book (I forgot the title) and several others.

  4. Hi Bo. I always love to call you Bo, minus the "Bro.", it feels more personal. Anyway, I have been a member of SFC since 1994 and now turned CFC. I could relate to the feelings of the woman who is now attending born-again services. I have some friends who have been in the community too but have turned Born-agains. It is really sad that many do not find the mass nourishing. Probably something to do with the priest preaching and even with the people "running the show" in their parishes. You know what I mean...the self-righteous people who give so much attention to those people in positions or who are rich and forget so much about those who are really in need. We find this even in our communities. Sorry for the long comment, I though I could write a novel.
But anyway, I believe there is so much work to do as far as evangelizing is concern. I JUST HOPE AND PRAY THAT EACH OF US WILL KNOW ONE TRUTH , AND THAT IS ...IT IS OUR REPONSIBILITY. I cannot blame the woman. Well , on my part, I will continue to do my share...join you in spreading His Good News through your kerygma, companion and even this web site. Praying that God will always strengthen all of us. Keep up the great work!

  7. Bo,

That the life-giving Body and Blood of Christ is the Truth and Light of every Eucharistic celebration, is...indisputable. The priest however, holds both the privilege & the obligation to be the channel through whom this Light maybe fed to the people. Figuratively, since the priest is the alter-ego of Christ, the priest becomes the Light.
In 2002, a new priest was assigned to our parish. His masses were always packed...even on ordinary days & moreso on special occasions.
I have lived in this city since I was born and I was witness to this significant increase in church attendees that year, in comparison to the previous years.
Some said : Our city has grown in population, that's why.
But the many who understood why, said : It's because of the new priest.
The "new priest" was assigned to another parish in 2004. I was again, witness to the significant decrease in church attendees since that time...until now. It doesn't take much to see that...it wasn't just a growth in our city population, after all. THAT TIME, MANY CAME BECAUSE MANY WERE REALLY ENLIGHTENED.
Where I am working, 6 stopped going to mass (1 joined another religion)...in our family, 2...multiply that figure by the # of companies & households in our city and you get a picture of the actual # of those who used to come but stopped.
These people have nothing against the present priest. It's just that...that "new priest" in 2002 was able to touch the soul of even the last person at the farthest back of his jampacked mass, in every homily that he gave. Every Sunday mass became a spiritual journey to connect to the Light. Each one brings out with him this Light after every journey to share with the others, so that when he comes back for the next mass, another one comes with him. Multiply this with the regular attendees and you will get a picture of the actual # of the significant increase that I mentioned above.
Nothing spectacular was done by that "new priest" really. His masses were just one chain of... experiencing...connecting...bringing out...sharing...and coming back to
...THE LIGHT. Nothing spectacular. But people came and came back, and many more came. That time.
I hope the Feast will reach our parish also. We need it.
    Thank you.

  8. Haaay! I missed the feast! Have I known sooner eh pumunta ako talaga and tagged along my family and friends! This is just what I'm talking about kanina lang with my sister why do Catholics switch to Born again Christians. I think sa totoo lang nasa pagiging Catholic na hinahanap nila eh, it's either they're not looking close enough or they're not opening enough. I know, I can relate very well with the boring homilies and whatever reason you can think of, but you know just try to listen, and I mean really listen. Kahit na ba boring eh you'll learn something. And it's not only by going to mass lang naman nagaganap ang enrichment ng faith. Maraming paraan talaga eh. Ang dating kasi parang nang iwan ka ng pamilya. Basta, this issue is so sad and frustrating. I hope and pray malaman ng lahat ang feast. Especially those who are "nagbabalak". Sana maging weekly na nga :)

  12. The mass is not only a weekly feast but a daily one. Of course, due to the lack of priests, some communities have access to masses only once a week, or worse, only once a month. In other communities, there is not a single mass to spak of at all. This is why the concept of television masses "evolved" so that the mass can be sent electronically not only to the sick but to the "massless" as well. We have a lot of brethren in other countries where there is no mass and so the requirement for a TV network with satellite facilities came into the picture. Now, we have Sunday TV Masses in almost all channels. There's, more: We now have a TV Mass on RPN9 every Wednesday, 8-9am for devotees of our Mother of Perpetual Succor (or Perpetual Help).
The problem is that although we have a lot of well-intentioned persons, we may not have all the resources to feed the flock spiritually. If anybody wishes to help in the Wednesday TV Mass Ministry, please email me at wednesdaytvmass@josephvergara.com

  13. I used to be one of those people who not only gets bored but gets really pissed on why we have such dull priests. But one Sunday, while attending mass I decided to go to confession. After the confession and before going out of the cubicle, I asked the priest inside the confession room on what the readings and gospel were. To my surprise, he did not only tell what they were, he actually gave me his homily! I realized that even if he was one of those dull priests who gave their dull homilies during the mass, so much thought and prayers go into constructing these homilies. Siguro nga they were not able to deliver it well, but brothers and sisters, I think that this is a little sacrifice is asked from us, because if we just exert a little more effort, we already exerted effort by going to that mass, extend just a little more by listening to these priests, because after that incident, I tried my best listening to them, no matter how boring they could be, and at the end, I realize that the homily has such impact in me. Why don't you try it my brothers and sisters? ;)

They don't exactly understand the meaning of this movement. As a matter of fact, there are relationships that were broken because of this.it's sad but the only thing i can do is to pray for them. I don't know if you would agree with me, but i think this is one way of God's test to us, as a servant. pls. e-mail me at el_cathy@yahoo.com :) thank you in advance. by the way we are a kerygma subscriber.

  15. This is really a sad fact. I cannot blame our bros and sis who goes to the born again and attend their sessions. This should be an eye opener to our bro. priests. Let's pray for them that they may always be filled with the Holy Spirit when celebrating the mass. Let us also be open in the word of God thru the priest kahit na nakakaantok na siya God still uses them to speak to us. pray to God that He will use the priest to speak to you.

  17. SM Mall of Asia [area] is not really "napakalayo". I think the adjective "napakalayo" (or its antonym) is inappropriate. What I mean is that, after all, someone from Bacoor or Baclaran or Pandacan might think it is better. Or whatever... anyway it is Sunday so traffic isnt much an issue.

I think it doesnt even matter at all. If you enjoy the Feast and if you are nourished by attending it, even if it was in Corregidor, I would not mind.

    GO, WEEKLY FEAST!!! :grin

  20. hi.... i just saw one of your FEAST at Kerygma TV.... actually it was the middle of the FEAST that i saw but somehow i remembered something when you asked about PRAYER....
I just want to share something....
i am a catholic and was schooled at a Protestant University here.
Way back in Highschool we have a discussion on what is prayer. Actually my teacher was a missionary and he did not gave us absolute meaning of what is payer however he gave us the acronym A.C.T.S (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication) and that's what prayer is all about.... (Look at Matt 6 where one can find the Lord's Prayer and you will see that it has this part.) Hope you can use this info in reaching to others....
    GOD BLESS

    PS
(Sorry 'cause i wrote it here...can't find any ways to send you an email) :)

  21. i've read all the comments about boring homilies and dull priests and i'm deeply saddened by such description for our priests...brothers and sisters, let us not forget that our priests were chosen by God...inspired by Him, they were given huge responsibility that is to shepherd God's flock (us...faithfuls of the Catholic church) we may see a lot of flaws in them maybe because we don't pray for them to be more holy, reason why they are constantly falling...the celebration of the mass is not only about the priest delivering a boring homily, if we open our hearts and think that "Jesus" is actually the one delivering that homily, i'm sure our hearts will be filled...besides we are not attending mass only to be entertained don't we? but to profess our faith no matter how boring it can get...mind you, you'd rather choose to hear a dull homily than not able to hear any God's Word at all because you're out here in a country where you cannot profess faith the way we do in the Philippines (like me,right now, how i missed our mass celebrations)...i love our priests because they were God's chosen ones... :cry

  23. This is wonderful news Bro Bo. Count me in as one of those who will be looking for a venue for the feast and will be also
praying for the realization of our shared dream and mission for Jesus Christ's Church the Catholic Church. I have a frreind whose whole family, wife and two sons have joined a Born Again Christian Church,he was so depressed because he was the only one left attending mass,he shared with me his problem and accompanied him to attend an Elim Mass and since then he has never been the same,he told me that God has answered his prayer on how to bring back his family to the Catholic faith, though this is only a start. Be sure Brother Bo that my freind and I will be attending your Weekly Feast since in CFC where my whole family is serving, we only have a first Sunday Mission Core Group Assembly. We know eventually we will be bringins his family in tow in the very near future. More power to your Kyrigma Family May God be praised!!!!

  27. Hi Bro. Bo, I attended last Sunday's The Feast and heard about this great news. I hope and pray that the weekly Feast start real soon.

It is so true that a lot of people have lost interest in attending catholic masses. I know a few people who are now born-again christians because of this. I have gone thru this as well in the past. I couldn't feel God's presence in the Holy mass and it was so frustrating. Sunday mass was an obligation.

Like many of us, my parents did not take the time to explain to me what the Holy Mass is all about. "Naging obligasyon tuloy kasi hindi ko maintindihan...ang alam ko lang pagagalitan ako ng nanay ko pag hindi ako magsimba....at tatakutin pa ako na magagalit sa akin ang Diyos."

So as I was growing up, my image of God is a distant God..."pinapanood lang ginagawa ko at binabantayan ang gagawin kong mali...para parusahan ako pag nagkamali ako."

Several years ago, during Holy Week, God made me realize that Jesus Christ died for me because He loves me so much.

Since then, I look forward to attending masses because I am reminded of God's love to me thru the Eucharist.

I hope we can bring more people back to the Catholic Church through the weekly Feast. - Jane

  29. hello everybody. :) i'm a newbie here. but i have been reading Bo's books for quite some time..it's only after reading his magnum opus - How To Find Your One True Love that got me started and pumped me to take an active stance on my spiritual journey and journey to self-rediscovery...

just like what a good deal of you have written, i too, have noticed the decline in mass attendance.

some priests, indeed are perhaps, not blessed enough with ---what's the word kaya...--- charisma (?) or persuasive-slash-motivating ability to keep the people right on their seats and hear the homilies.

    it's sad really.

i have my personal share as well. but you know what? it's not all about being dependent on our priest really. it also boils down to us, churchgoers, to take an active part in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

it's up to us to sit down. listen. and listen well. not only with our ears, but most importantly, with our hearts as to what is Christ would want us to hear.

i feel that today, people would rather have their faith serve up blended and ready to sip. hindi na pinag-iisipan pa. kumbaga, ready-to-mix or ready-to-heat-and-serve na lang.

personally, i describe faith as belief put into action. it's dynamic.

i've been assigned to work in a Moslem country. and believe me, the loneliness would either make you a convert or hold on to your faith all the more, that perhaps, even the most "boring" of homilies is something to pine about.

most importantly, let's pray for our priests. for their strength to further advocate the good cause and Christ's works.

    God Bless everyone..
Hope you'd include me in your update, please. especially with the FEAST. i would like to come together with my family. :)

    blink :)

  36. hi.. its chic here, 22 yrs old from cagayan de oro, i just read your book "finding one true love" and it really was a nice book to read, very entertaining. but id observed something somewhere in your lifes journey when you were still choosing the path that youll gonna take. yea your decision was involved of choosing the path that your gonna take. becuase you were really confused of which path its gonna be, and you were asking god to help you out with that path that you really belong... and finally you choose the right path. its not really about choosing.. its the "will" because i believe that the right path for you is now.. and that is the will of your life. and that is god wants you to walk in. becuase he knows that your gonna help a lot of people not just in a certain community but touching everyones lives.he equipped you with knowledged and knowing him for you to take this path.. your past was involved in coming into the path that you are now. coz if not of that you wouldnt know that your destiny is to touch everyones life by sharing your ideas to people.you wouldnt have choosen this path if not becuase of what you have been through. and the experienced that you had.though i have a different perceptions that i think its also a little agreeable.but i dont know. im not sure. this is just my opinion., but that just mine.. hehehe.. i think that god already knows before we were born on the earth whats path everyones needs to take according to his will. yea "choosing" is always involved" but that choosing is just a "spices" of our life.for us to know that god is with us, he wants us to know and feel that he is just around and he's our god, so he set us this confusions but at the end of that. he is guiding us to the right way. sorry but i think the truth is we are just the actors and actresses in this world and god is the director. he already knows everything whats gonna happen.god is the one who's driving our life and directing it becuase he knows what we will become in the path that he wants for us.and that even if we had choosen the bad or the good path, or we had commited sins and mistakes in our journey but he understands it.. every little thing. because whatever imperfections that we have, he created it... yea he gave us a mind set for choosing the good decisions but he also made us a mind to choose bad decisions, so called "spice" why? its because of our life. its part of his creation.. to know him. becuase everytime we do bad things or mistakes we see him and feel that he is love and hes with us.everything is part of his creations.. we have a will.. we are here on the earth not for our own benefits but for him and to touch everyones life...we'll just have to follow his will and do what he wants its either we can commit mistakes or not. and i think everyone is capable to love and be loved, whether the person is bad or he or she has a certain personality and attitude that is not acceptable in our society. we are different from each other, and that difference is made by god. good or bad. so i think that its not really choosing whats good for you to be with. but its playing and following what needs to be take.. im not saying that we must take the bad path and choosing to do bad.. no. im just saying that we are just human being.. "reality check" everyone is different. we cant control someone's thinking. someone is controlling them. its the desire.. and that desire is that path that god wants for that person.. we are created opposites... we must love one another and accepts one another flaws and the bad sides.

anywys im really so impressed by you... wow.. you are really are a good writer.. you really inspired me a lot... god is with you.and you are blessed with such intelligence...how i wish i could be like you.. hehehe.. but i think im still not fully equipped to be like you. coz i still have a lot to learn about life.. take care and god bless. thank you for such a wonderful book..

  40. The essence of the mass is not in the homily. In fact it is not a requirement. Many Protestants are often lured and attached to a charismatic preacher. When their preacher move or dies, so does the congregation. We Catholics are blessed to have the True Presence of the Lord and the ability to receive Him in communion.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I commend your effort to make feast a weekly affair. What other catholics are saying is true. A 15 minute homily is not enough to resucitate a dying , hungry and
thirsty soul for God's word. Sorry to say, t pastors are more effective because they are in touch with ordinary people's life and concerns, being in a married life. If you really want to enervate more Catholics pls bring the feast in every parish especially in the provinces since travel and transportation expenses are among the reasons we can't attend the feast in manila. I'm sure a lot of nominal Catholics will be lured back to the Catholic fold. Thanks and God bless.

  42. In the early first week of December when the topic above was first shown, some of us made comments on how the Sunday Mass can help enlighten the Catholic flock-both the regular churchgoers and the "absentees". Since the priest (being the main celebrant) is a big part of the Sunday Mass, as much as the congregation (being the co-celebrators) is, it was just inevitable that comments about how the priest delivers his homilies and celebrates the mass as a whole were brought out. When we gave those comments however :
    1. We did not mean and do not expect the priests to entertain the congregation.
    2. We did not forget the fact that the priests are the "chosen ones."
    3. We do appreciate a Holy Mass, notwithstanding if the preaching is dull or otherwise...thus, we do not have to go to other places (where, even the wearing of a cross pendant is forbidden, as one said) to do so. We DO appreciate the Holy Mass. To comment that a homily is boring is not to mean that the mass is not being appreciated at all.
    4. Yes, we do pray for our own priests.
In certain places, especially in far-flung barangays, the Sunday Mass becomes the only form of worship from which the community can draw enlightenment for their daily toils in life. Access to spiritual books (reading one, as another has suggested) is very remote, thus the priest becomes the only provider of spiritual nourishment and educator of these people in terms of their religious faith and practices.
As Catholics, we are always striving for our faith to be more deep and dynamic. A simple evidence of this fact is this forum--- our vast exchanges of ideas even on this one topic alone.
But as humans, we tend to sometimes stumble and slid backwards because of our personal flaws. The comments about the priests, homilies and Sunday Masses above were not meant to depict anything negative about anyone but a move to somehow make our lives nearer to what we Catholics are striving for...and what Christ wants us all to have. We are all flawed Catholic human beings in need of the Light. Let us all help one another connect to this Light.

  43. This is the complete title for the above-written commentary :

On spiritual nourishment (again) and priests

  44. Hi Bro.Bo! Allow me to contribute something that will help our catholic brothers & sisters who are more concern about the priest and not the true meaning of Holy Mass. We know that all of us have their own parts in the Holy Mass, even the priest is boring but still it is the part of our sacrifice attending the Mass not for anyone else but for Christ Himself the supreme sacrifice.

Let me share with all of you the followig:

  45. I think Mall of Asia is ok. The scenery is fantastic! Sana lang wag bumagyo. I'll be praying for the weekly FEAST! :)

  46. I seriously disagree with having The Feast at Mall Of Asia. Scary dun. That area is a reclamation area. It's a sinking area. Just to be safe, I agree na dapat middle point ang venue ng The Feast para fair sa lahat. Yung area kasi ng MOA, isang tsunami lang yan, lubog na yan. Makikipagpustahan pako jan. For the safety of everybody, let's not have The Feast anywhere within a 3-mile radius of MOA. Thank you.

  49. religion doesn't really matter guys, its not the measure of a person if he can go to Heaven, the real measure is if you accepted Jesus as your PERSONAL Lord and Saviour, its not enough you know of His name and what He does, but its important you have a relationship with Him, you talk and walk with Him, its possible that you may go to hell even though your born again or catholic, whats important is JESUS, so lets not fight each other which religion is better, its not about religion but a RELATIONSHIP with our SAVIOUR, GOD bless..

  50. Helo Kuya Bro. Bo,

I'm now excited to attend to your FEAST this coming Sunday..and i hope also i can attend the FEAST this first SAturday. Im glad that i make my sister to come with me. I also wanted her to feel blessed in listening God's words through your preaches.
Sometimes it's true that even we attend mass in our parish, its like I'm not that satisfied of the homily, i know it's bad, but it's the truth. And the woman whom you talk with, we have the same experience but i don't attend to other religions preaching. That's why now that i know of your organizations, i can now be truly be blessed.

Thank you Lord because you've send Kuya Bo here on earth that will be our guide to a more fruitful life and soul enlighten.

  51. Hello po.

As I've read in the thread, there are those who are confuse about their faith. I was a Catholic converted to Born-Again

I'll share my liitle testimony, I was once an active Catholic, attended actively in Sunday Mass and serves as Knights of the Altar and choir. Yet although I've been active then, there are still questions and doubts that linger in my head. And one of them is the proper undestanding of salvation.

I thought before that salvation can be attain by human efforts or doing good works. And with that thinking, I always try to prove myself to God, attend as many mass as possible, and be a good son. Yet no matter what I try, sins always gets in the way. Is there hope in this hopeless situation, can I be totally be free from this sin and condemnation.

But then I seek and seek, until I became a born-again. I invited Jesus in my life as my Lord and Savior. It was then that I realize that salvation can be attain through faith by God's grace. That it was Jesus' who paid for my sins (past/present/future) once and for all. That's why it is called good news, because it is meant ot be proclaimed and believed. Another great thing that happen was the Holy Spirit who indwells me after receiving Jesus. The Holy Spirit which is God is the one who gives me direction each day. I praise God for His mercy. Nalulungkot ako sa mga nagpepenitensya o sa mga tao na pinahihirapan ang sarili para matanggap ang kapatawaran ng Diyos.

I advise you guys to read the Bible - specifically John, or the Epistles. It will explain our position in Christ as sons and daughters of God. Godbless po. Another thing that Catholics should consider is the belief in prusisyon, santo, purgatory, and rosary....

Salvation is a gift and its FREE. Godbless po. =)

  53. Guys, Don't focus in the word "Converting" or "Convert" please. No one needs to be converted.

It doesn't matter what your religion is, as long as you believe in God and have a relationship with him.

I just pray that the Catholics would be more interactive. :)

  54. If you preach whats in the Bible that is salvation through Jesus Christ alone (1 Timothy 2:5) with no other way except him. As opposed to saying that Mary and the saints should mediate for the living then there is nothing wrong with your theology.

I don't generalize the Catholic community because I have met with Catholics who truly love Jesus and believe in him for salvation without the other additives of Mary or Saints praying for the mortals thing which is truly unbiblical and heretical.

Lastly, Christians are saved because of grace. (Ephesians 2:8-9) not through works so that no one can boast. But does that mean a Christian should take it easy and keep on sinning after receiving God's gift? Not at all! Go read
    Hebrews 20:26-27

Though people may be offended by this, it is tough love that dares to share the truth in hopes that God free your minds from the evil of religiosity

  55. many catholics converted to born again christians is because of theff 1.
idolatry , You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your
God, am a jealous God Exo 20:5. Up to now ngworship pa rin cla sa knilang mga idol like mga saints mama mary. 2. repeating of prayers-And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6:7 ex. rosary. clear sa bible na ang prayer ay dapat nasa puso natin. God made an example sa prayer nya ung "Our Father" pero hindi nya cnbi na ulit2x Christ made an example. Ask yourself kung tama ba ung faith na pinanghahawakan ninyo. Why do we continue being a catholic kung hangang ngayon naniniwala pa rin sila sa penetensya, purgatoryo (hell and heaven lang according sa bible), saints that they worship. I pray na maging eye opener to sa mga Catholics. I pray for Bro bo to have wisdom with this matter.

  60. Ryan

    Amen to you.

I don't understand why catholics are blinded by the word of God. Do they really read the bible or just simply ignore the word ''IDOLATRY'' in the Bible?

    Exodus 20:3-6

“You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a CARVED IMAGE, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a JEALOUS GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

GEN 35:2 So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Get rid of the FOREIGN GODS you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes.

LEV 19:4 "'Do not turn to idols or make gods of cast metal for yourselves. I am the LORD your God.

Examples: Mother Mary, Santo Niño, etc. .what are these made up of? God never says in the Bible that He will be of a form of stones and statues...infact He was mad at those people who worship ''false God''.

    DEU 4:28

There you will worship man-made gods of wood and stone, which CANNOT SEE or HEAR or EAT or SMELL.

There are many verses in the bible that I think you should need to reflect on it. If you keep on denying this verses it's just like your denying the Lord Jesus. If your mad and can't accept the fact about what the Lord has revealed to you better tear the pages in the Bible that has ''idolatry verses''.

Please think before you preach. May God bless you!
